WORST experience I’ve had with movers in 20 YEARS!! To put things into perspective, I’ve lived in 4 countries and 7 states and have dealt with over a dozen moving companies over the years. When it came to customer service, this company was horrendous. They showed up mentioning that they were short staffed for the move (one of their employees called out), so I volunteered to help them. After the two guys (they were nice guys) started moving our furniture a third guy on the truck started berating me saying that we were taking advantage of what was being moved? Mind you, I didn’t even meet this guy yet and he started screaming at me. Taken aback I told him that if I was taking advantage I wouldn’t be volunteering to help his staff move my own furniture that I am paying them for! He then screamed at me and said that I don’t need to help them and then continued to berate me. Turned out he had a bad experience at a previous move before ours and was lashing out at me. I told him whatever isn’t agreed with on the items not being moved I’ll take them off the truck (and so I moved items that his staff put on their truck and moved them off myself). After that he calls the head owner and then gives me the phone, who then the head owner starts being condescending and berates me about “items being added to the move.” Not once did they admit that they were in the wrong, their receptionist didn’t communicate with us correctly (apparently we were supposed to get an email confirmation on items being moved?). Also, no one took the time to actually listen to us, instead they automatically blamed us and lashed out because they were already frustrated with another client. It is truly unfortunate that they conducted business that way. The two gentlemen that were actually doing the moving were very kind but the owner and his son thought they were doing us a “favor” when we were actually paying for a service. The one star is for the two movers who worked hard and deservedly received a tip. After this experience I will NEVER use them again and will tell all of my own clients to find a company who has more professionalism so they will never go through what I went through. Since they have a decent record review wise, maybe it was a bad day for them but they had every opportunity to turn it around and chose not to. Hence this review. Small town company with a big town ego. Beware.
